Hewett Academy Celebrates First Student Graduate of Thinking Reading Programme

Hewett Academy is proud to announce Ashley Whitlam, Year 8 has become the academy's first "graduate" from the Thinking Reading programme, completing a total of 42 lessons. 

As a surprise bonus, Ashley received an Amazon Kindle from Lord Agnew, Chairman of the Board of Inspiration Trust, as a reward for his commitment and being Hewett's first graduate.

Mr Little, Principal, said:

"Ashley has shown great commitment and fortitude with his work and we hope that he is the first of many to complete the programme. One of our missions as a school is to make reading central to what we do, and nobody has demonstrated this more than Ashley."
